Whatever you think about Merge sites, their w/d by check process is the worst I have experienced. Since pic club dropped them that is my only option. Here is my experience so far:

Requested w/d on Jan 5th, carbon approved it on Jan 7th.

From today, Feb 10th:

CS Angelica: Hello! How may I assist you?

TerminalFrost: I requested a w/d on Jan 5, it was approved, wondering where my check is?

CS Angelica: Please kindly hold on a moment while I access your records.

CS Angelica: We sincerely apologize for the delay in receiving your withdrawal request. The check should take 3-4 weeks delivery time however sometimes there is an unexpected delays due to some reasons beyond our control like your postal service or the Check processor itself.

CS Angelica: I will send email to our cashier regarding your check withdrawal. We will email you as soon as we received a reply from them.

TerminalFrost: thank you. My postal service is more than reliable, I will be waiting to hear when the check was sent.

CS Angelica: Okay, please be assured that you will be informed with regards to your Check withdrawal concern. I appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter.

TerminalFrost: when do you think that will be?

CS Angelica: We do have a standard waiting period of 24-48 hours maximum.

TerminalFrost: OK

Sorry to hear of your problems there at Carbon Frosty. Sounds like the same run-a round I've been getting from several sites that I've been trying to withdraw from. As of today, only Bodog and UltimateBet have been forthcoming and easy for me to get my winnings. I hope you have better luck than I've had dealing the constant BS most poker site like to put their members through. It's definitely frustrating, especially feeling as bad as I do. Good luck to you kind Lady.

Today, Feb 16th:

You are now chatting with 'CS Patricia'

Your Issue ID for this chat is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

CS Patricia: Hello! How may I assist you?

TerminalFrost: Still waiting for email on where my w/d is.

CS Patricia: Please kindly hold on a moment while I access your records.

TerminalFrost: On Feb 10th had this chat: CS Angelica: Okay, please be assured that you will be informed with regards to your Check withdrawal concern. I appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter. TerminalFrost: when do you think that will be? CS Angelica: We do have a standard waiting period of 24-48 hours maximum.

CS Patricia: Unfortunately, we havent received the reply of the cashier. I know sometimes there might be some delays in receiving the check due to factors beyond our control like your postal service

TerminalFrost: CS Angelica: We do have a standard waiting period of 24-48 hours maximum. Its been 144 hours and my postal service is fine

CS Patricia: Nevertheless, I will follow up this concern and ask them when did they send the check so you could have its estimated time of arrival

TerminalFrost: got bodog check in 5 days
TerminalFrost: its been over 5 weeks now with carbon
TerminalFrost: and bo is free - you charged me $15
TerminalFrost: and i still dont have my check

CS Patricia: Im sorry for the incovenience. I'll just follow up this one

TerminalFrost: or an email from the cashier
TerminalFrost: with your MAX 48 hr wait
TerminalFrost: so now when can I expect an answer?

CS Patricia: I dont want to give you exact time since Im not sure when are we going to receive their answer but I will put this on top of our priority

TerminalFrost: It would be nice. I am getting very frustrated.

CS Patricia: I understand how you feel towards the situation

CS Patricia: We'll just notify you immediately when we received the information about your check

TerminalFrost: I expect to hear within a few days.

CS Patricia: okay
CS Patricia: thank you for your patience

TerminalFrost: I'm running out.
TerminalFrost: Goodbye

Short story of my Carbon withdrawal. See above for long version:

Joined Pic Club to w/d from carbon without paying their $15 check fee. w/d sat in limbo for a month since PicClub was in the process of dropping them.

Then went thru the verification process.

-Requested w/d Jan 6th
-Received email saying it was approved Jan7th
-Feb 10th live chat asking where my check is. Said they would email me 24-48 hrs Max.
-Feb 16th (144 hrs later) live chat again. They will get back to me, but can't say when.

WTF!!!

I make two withdrawal from Merge requesting checks. One from Carbon and one from PokerNordia. Both were made on Novermber 18th. The request to PokerNordia took an additional week as they requested pictures of my driver's license and utility bills which they got. I wasn't paid until early February, over two months later. On Carbon's site it said two to four days and I believe PokerNordia's said three to four weeks.

Because of the long delays, I became alarmed and started emailing both sites. Not all my emails were answered. It appeared to me that I would not get my money but I finally did. Next time I'm going to use EwalletXpress which costs much more, 10%, but only takes about two weeks.

Deposit bonused don't mean much when you can't make a withdrawal or the withdrawal takes forever. Is this network in trouble?

Yea, they sure don't tell you this when they're trying to get you to deposit. All you hear is big bonuses that are easy to clear.

The biggest bonuses in the world aren't worth a thing, if you can't withdraw them.

I've never asked for a check, but e-wallet payouts from Merge sites were fine until about last Oct or Nov. The same 2-4 days as everyone else. Since then, I've made maybe five withdrawals, and they have taken up to two weeks. That doesn't necessarily mean financial problems, but it does seem like an obvious possibility.

Another thing is that Merge doesn't seem to pull all that much player traffic.

Here's my latest attempt to get SOMEONE at Carbon to get back to me:

email to carbon poker:

Trying to find out why I have still not received my withdrawal from Carbon. It's been 45 days.

Joined Pic Club.
Requested w/d from carbon. It sat in limbo for a month since PicClub was in the process of dropping them.
-Feb 21st 5 days later and I still haven't heard anything.

What exactly is the problem? Your web site says:

How long will withdrawals take to process?

All withdrawals will generally be processed within 72 hours. Check withdrawals are processed on Monday and Thursday every week and generally arrive within 3 weeks after being dispatched.

Can someone PLEASE GET BACK TO ME ON THE STATUS OF MY W/D AND WHY IT IS TAKING SO LONG?

To Carbon:

You have to be kidding me. I have no patience or understanding left. It's been 45 days!!!

11 days and you can't get info from your own cashier? How about picking up the phone?

Please give me an email address or phone number of your cashier or someone in charge that can address this issue.

And you should update your web site to say

How long will withdrawals take to process?

We have no idea.

Still waiting,

I've withdrawn from carbon but that was before they changed their player comp system. It is disappointing to see the problems they are giving people to get their money. I have also noticed there are not many ring game tables at low stakes and it takes a while for single table SNG's to fill up.

Still can't speak to the problem with checks, but my last two withdrawals from Merge sites to my e-wallet didn't take as long as the ones in Q4 '09 did.

I submitted two withdrawals on Feb 17 and the money was received yesterday; i.e. 6 days later. Still not great, but not nearly as bad as the 10-14 days late last year.

Cashout from Aced recently and take 8 days, better than the 14 days before at least.

With the Playersonly/sportsbook joining merge in April aparently they going to improve cashouts soon....., true?, who knows.

Frosty with that many time waiting maybe was a better idea to look for some one that still play there and make a transfer, is too much money?

Transferring on Merge sites isn't as easy as elsewhere either. Not hugely difficult, but somewhat annoying. You have to verify your account by downloading a form, filling it out and the sending a scan or photo of it along with a piece of ID and something showing your address.
