My experience with Cake Poker so far has been that when they went from qualifying 10 people to qualifying only 7, the process became immeasurably more difficult. In the qualifiers themselves, I do find a lot of all-in bluffing and donkeys, right at the very beginning and for the first few rounds. But perhaps because I have played in the qualifiers most weeks, I have become familiar with some of the more notorious bluffers.

I do think ,however, that if I play my game even if i get far behind on chips, most of the time enough situations do present themselves for me to catch up to top 7. I do like the freeroll on Saturday because has only between 243-250 people in it and they pay 60 places. Compared to playing 3000 on Pokerstars or 2700 on Fulltilt or 1500 on other sites, this is pleasant.

One thing I would point out about the qualifiers is that in very end when the numbers drop to under 30, and many think they have enough to qualify, and then you see that very few but perhaps an aggressive chip leader with a huge stack will call anyone. So, it is really a time when you can win/steal large blinds readily and make up a lot of ground quickly. Also, its rare to see a player in top seven risk calling an all-in bet unless they have AAs or KKs. I hope this is helpful. :hi:

Yes thanks, I did find your post helpful. I had almost forgot about cake poker til visiting this site. I think I may give them an honest try for some real money. I played there awhile back for freerolls and came in the money a couple of times for a couple of bucks but never played with my own. I will have to look into what kind of deposit options they have. Thanks. Maybe I'll post back with my views/opinion after playing their.

I love $500 Bankroll freeroll Satellite and Million Dollar freeroll satellite. However If there's
Daily freeroll just like other site(Ultimate, Absolute, Bodog etc)which pays everyday, it will be great.

The site isn't one of my most favorites but the support is first rate and the withdrawals are fast.

I haven't spent a whole lot of time on this network or with Cake Poker itself. I do know that it is a small community and is growing. What I find attractive in their promotions are the cake slices. I think it's a great marketing tool and believe has to do with their upcoming success. What I do not like particurarly is their software. Seems too much like a video game to me with less than average graphics. If anyone has any feedback regarding the room, please let me know.

I enjoy playing at cake poker. It has gotten harder over time to qualify for the weekly freerolls. I enjoy the fact that they now have bounty tournaments. Its fun to knock out the all in fools and the people that do nothing but bluff.

Cake poker ROCKS, I like all the different SnG's all the different guarantee's and the overall play of the game, I really don't think it is like the other sites I enjoy playing on like Bo, and AP, AP especially, that site is brutal. Some other things I like about Cake, is good graphics, lots of options....

Cons, they LOVE to deal the flop with 3 pairs, 888--KKK, ETC... Just in the last few days of playn there, i have seen like 10 of them. Seems to be a little to much...

Overall this has become my favorite site, and not just because I won the most previous PFO Tourney there either, I really Do enjoy playing @ Cake....

I wouldn't recommend cake to anyone, that is, not all the skins in general, but the actual cake client. It takes forever to get a check, and they always charge, when many of their skins offer a free check a month. My first and only cash out took 2 months, and they leave a button for you to cancel the cashout, and for addicts, it allows them to get bored, and blow that money away. Also, they sent me a check that couldn't be cashed out in the U.S., so it had to go through another process, which cost me more money, and took about another two weeks to process. All in all, it cost about 65 bucks to cash out a $1000 check that took about 2 and a half months. Sportsbook is a cake skin that offers sports betting as well, but... they sent me three bounced checks already, and their customer service lies to you. Player's Only is exactly like sportsbook, but it offers rakeback. However, I've never deposited nor cashed out there, so I do not know what the service is like.

I really enjoy cake. The gold chips are a very nice bonus. Also the ring games throw out gold cards often. I like this site a lot.

I havent played much real money on Cake, but sounds pretty nice. I do see it listed that someone got this one gold card. A good bonus on the site. Makes me wanna win some money n there. The freerolls are hard to qualify in...they used to be alright...now the field is bigger and prizes still small.

Cake poker has good cash tables, lots of fish so its easy to win there.
i love doubleupsngs there, so easy to win in them.
But i don't like the tourneys, they don't have good low stakes buyin games.
Private Freerolls are very few and in their freerolls very few are given tickets.
Rakeback is very good but their new points system takes very long time to give you any gold chips or clear your bonuses
