There seems to be only 2 shows out there that are not of the push and pray variety.

High Stakes Poker is great because it is a cash game. It is indicative of a real poker game in a casino. The players talk about many things and Gabe Kaplan is by far one of the best poker analyst out there. He gets inside the head of the players better than anyone.

Poker After Dark is another favorite of mine. I think it best resembles a sit'n go online. It is very interesting to see how the players change gears as the tournament progresses. We do not see that in other shows.

Well that's my 2 cents... :typing:

Wich is your favorite ?
Are there any other Poker Shows ?

I agree with you on the High Stakes Poker because you see the great bluffs the can be made in poker with representation of a good hand.

I'm gonna have to pick High Stakes Poker for my favorite cash game show. They always have some intense huge pots going down. Not only that you can really see some advanced cash game play going down, in which you can gain some decent tips from. They also always have a great line up of players. Rumor has it though that the show might get cancled. Let's hope this doesn't happen.

For my favorite poker tourney show I'm gonna have to pick WPT. They always have an outstanding lineup of pros playing in their events, which we all know leads to some great play. It was hard not to choose Poker After Dark, but I'm sick of seeing the weak line up of pros playing on these. Since it's pretty much Fulltilt owned, they try to get there pros on there as much as possible. That's why you rarely see more pros that are sponsored from other poker sites.
Also, WSOP almost made it for my favorite tourney show, but the ratio of amatuer players compared to pros is just ridiculous. So you don't gain too much tips as compared to the amount you could get to WPT shows.

I'm not a big fan of High stakes poker for some reason. I pretty much like all of the other ones that I have seen though. I watch the WPT alot more than others.

Anything with Phil Helmuth in it is good, always entertaining. Its fun to watch High stakes poker since like someone else has said, its a good way to learn some tips from the pros, would be nice to be able to apply it online

I love the WSOP for 3 reasons, it has the biggest payout in the poker world, it has a great announcer that I really enjoy in Norman Chad, (he's funnier than shit) and its the one tournament that any poker player on the planet would give their left nut to win. Don't get me wrong, I like all poker on TV, it's great but I enjoy the WSOP the best.

I know I'm probably going to be crucified for stating this, but....

I find it hard to watch ANY poker show. Lets face the fact that poker is a very slow game and is not really a spectator sport. The shows cut out the boring (but crucial) part of the game and focus on the "exciting" and not the real game.

Just my opinion....

Cheers

I have to agree with the High Stakes Poker responses. Great atmosphere, great players, and generally a good time watching. Pretty Hostesses too ;)

Definetely not Poker after Dark... You watch like 2 hands and then it goes to commercial... And you listen to Hellmuth and some old dude spar about some hand they played in 1999... I love watching the WPT... The best game out there, with big pots and gutsy play, by everyone from pros to joes. Also WSOP on ESPN is good, but I can't stand watching those player bios they do...

Well i really like the WSOP but I hate when they throw in all the side interviews with all the players. I think they should just stick to the game like high stakes poker does... poker after dark is ok too just its on so late
