Don't give away your best secrets, but any tips on what you have done to "get these mtts down good".

I mean, I doubt your game has changed that much, but what one or two little changes have you made that have brought on your recent success?

Knowing when to pick my spots better at playing pots. Folding good hands when I know I'm really beat. Trying to not go all in that much, unless It's really necessary. And not overplaying good hands. That's a big thing I see people doing. Overplaying a lot of hands to the point where they go busto. Other then that I just pretty much play tight till I develop a nice chip stack and table image. Then I start to loosen up and make more plays. Using position to your advantage is huge also.

Well what do I have to say , hmmm. I withdrawled a bunch from cake, figured I'd buy myself a nice laptop . Left myself a 40$ and had a bad run. So waiting for my affiliate payment and rakeback, so I should be getting about 35% back total, which is pretty nice. Other then that I bought 10$ off a friend and I'll see if I can do something with it till I get the rakeback.

Haven't been playing much since it's been nice out. But it's about that time again where I feel the urge to play and build up a nice big bankroll. We'll see how that goes. :typing:

Well shortly after that last post I played a bounty tourny, 6$ to buy in. Collected 9 bounties for 27$ total.

Image

So after a bad run I'm back at it!

Ok, this part right here is an update about hours after this post. Spent 9$ total in this one so 20$ profit isn't bad to keep building up the bankroll for now. I was kinda upset because I played well and took some bad beats =/.

Congratulations Mysterious R,

Out of 291 players in Tournament 5297329 ($2,000 GUARANTEED! - R&A), you came in 18th and have won $29.78.

You've also been awarded 1.05 FPP for participating in the tournament.

Best wishes,
The Cake Poker Team

Haven't been playing much over the summer but I think I'm finally getting my urge back to play! I'm depositing on some sites within the next week or two and will see if I can get some big bankrolls going again. But on multiple sites this time.
I'm gonna try to take advantage of all the juicy guarantee tournaments everywhere. Now that I actually think of it, that also makes me want to deposit on Poker Stars since I know they have some bangin' guarantees. So I'm aiming at 3 sites to deposit on now, should be fun and interesting.
The only place I think I'll be playing ring games at will most likely be at Cake. Really have to step it up a notch playing in those ring games.
Our league is coming up also, looking forward to that. Alright, well I'm not gonna drag this out anymore, adios!

Ok so I open up with the raise, short stacked reraised all in, then the guy in late position fcking went all in and I figured he would. I'm a moron and folded JJ. What do you guys think of this move that cost me the tourney?
Figured I wouldn't wanna chance my whole stack on a coin flip at most. But I would of won took two people out then went HU with a short stack. :bs:

Image

Well, that kinda sucks I didn't get first and the 424 $ but I settled for 4th for 155$

With your chip stack and pocket J's I would of called him without a moment for thought.I know you don't want to hear this:dazed2:.Even before when I was the cool one and before my over aggressive evil twin changed my ways, lol. I would of done the same thing. If you had less of a chip stack $150.000-$200.000 , fold at $150.00o- but but tough fold or call at $200.00I would think hard about it,.
Hey still woohoo man you won $155.000 in a $3.00 + .30 buy in.That's a fantastic win.Image
How many times during the game did you re-buy if any?

I double rebought instantly when I got in the tourney and then I added on once at break. So spent about $9.30 total. Hmmm, you would of called him instantly without a moment of thought? You have to realize though that If you do fold blinds are still very small compared to the amount of chips I had. I just don't think it's that smart to put up my entire stack on a coin flip at that level. I'm the type of player that would rather out play you once I see a flop rather then put my tourney on the line preflop. I wanna hear other people too on this question.

I would have folded. You are absolutely right. To get that far and risk it all on JJ just isn't worth it. Had big stack not called, you would have insta-called. It sucks knowing after the fact that you would have won, but poker isn't about results, it's about making the right play.

Most players worry too much about what they've lost or won recently, when the focus should be on the decisions being made. The right decisions pay off in the long run and the results will take care of themselves.

Well I came up short again for the win. Which sucks. :dazed30: I only bought in once in this. No rebuys or add ons.

Just bought myself a new laptop. A Sony Vaio. It's really ncie and fast. So I'll definitely be on here more now and try to play more of the games again we got going here. It's a nice feeling to be able to take your computer on the go and play poker pretty much anywhere there's a wifi connection.

Trying to get back into playing a lot of poker again, and man oh man it's a bitch, especially when you come back to nothing but bad luck. I'm gonna keep on keepin' on and hopefully this bad luck will wash away.

Last night I made 8 bucks off of 25cents, which it's not a big win at all, it's my one step to getting a bankroll again without depositing.

I even played the cake freeroll satelitte and I placed, but to only over sleep the main bankroll tourney today. Awesome.... Also busted out 41st out of the 4k people that played the satellite into the 250k semi final. Instead of winning a 225k pot that would have me dead in the run to place top 5 to get a ticket. My pocket aces get beat on a river 7, that made the other guys set. What boggles my mind, is how he even got involved in that hand to have to go all in with such a massive stack. Just made no sense. Fcking prick. :leave:

One thing I've also realized, is I hate it when people state "GG" (good game). Since when is it ever a good game when you bust out and no where near the money? It just pisses me off more. So please, if you take me out , don't say good game, it's not exactly what I wanna hear when I bust out.

It's ok, didnt mean to come off sounding like a jerk. And it wasn't towards you, just people in general. It's been a hectic comeback for me since I'm just running pretty bad no matter how good I play
