It looks like Image is at it again. I accepted bonus $ that expires in 8 days, now it looks like take 2 is back. It's not as juicy as the last take 2 promotion, but $25 is $25:

Take 2 - Earn up to $25 and Double Points

Take 2 at Full Tilt Poker to earn up to $25 AND double the Full Tilt Points that you’d normally receive for playing in your favorite ring games.

Running from Saturday, April 3rd to Sunday, April 11th, play at least two standard ring-game tables at the same time or any Rush Poker* table during Take 2 to receive double the Full Tilt Points. Play as often as you can during Take 2 and we’ll also reward you with up to $25 in cash, depending on how many days you play.

To see more information on this promotion click HERE!

Check out your offers and accept this one if it interests you!

NOTE: If your are going to do this, you might as well start earning a point a day on April 1st through the end of April to qulify you for the One-A-Day $2K Freeroll in May!

For more information on the One-A-Day freeroll click HERE.

Well this month I have been grinding away at converting a "special $100 FTP Bonus". Ups and downs with ring for sure. Close to breaking even with my play for the past 30 days. Which means an increase in my BR of close to $100. 132 FTPs to convert the last $10.

I will be glad to start the take 2 promotion--it means a lot less ring at FTP. I may take a little break from ring after this promo.

Generally I play a couple of ring games at UB, a SnG at FTP, and 1 or 2 MTTs at Stars when I play. That's in addition to what ever forum games/freerolls I may be playing.

Here are the four funniest lines from a support chat (in succession) EVER!:

Stephane: Wait a minute.
Stephane: There's another problem.
Stephane: "MergeSucks" is your poker nickname?
Stephane: Why do you want to play on the Merge Network then?

:-D

tbdbitl,
I don't want to get touchy feely here, but I feel it's important to express my feelings!

I want to know where we stand, and it's important for me to let you know that I'm thinking about you. This relationship between us needs to grow so I can show you how much love I have for you and how much I appreciate you.

What if I were to send you on a trip to Vegas, or deliver a new iPad to your house?, or if that doesn't work for you, perhaps I send you my personal monogrammed jacket, shirt or baseball hat so you always remember our GR88 times together?

I don't need much, just a small sign of commitment from you. We've already connected in such a personal way. You gave me all of your contact information when you came online, but before we got to second base you left without so much as a goodbye.

I have to admit I was feeling a bit down after that and when I tried to connect with you and there was no response, a million things ran through my head like, who were you with, who was enjoying your time, your attention and experiencing life, fun, laughter with you. Whoever it is.... they don't appreciate you like I do, and I am prepared to show you how I feel right now!!!

Come back and show me that you care, deposit $50, and each month that you play with me I will enter your name into a draw for all the gifts I mentioned above. What more can I say, I'm committed.

WITH LOVE,

GR88.COM
XOXOXOXOXOXO

:nice:

Well done sir! Thats a nice score, I'm sure it is a little frustrating to be that close to some huge cash, but ya still very nice finish!

ty ty! I just couldn't a leg up. At one point I made a horrible call that crippled me. But, I ran into a couple of hands and in a short time was up from 2300 chips to over 100K.

I was shortstacked for much of the late stages. I was all-in more in this one than any other Stars tourney. Probably because I don't usually get three big suckouts to keep me in the game. Of course when short stacked late, when you get called on your shoves you are most likely going to be behind.

Seems like this Forum is getting older. I remember one of these where I went late into the tourney on aweek night and there were about 5 others in chat here railing me ( April 17, 2009--finished 11/3852 in a $1 + .10 tourney). TF did stay up later but I guess she needed her beauty sleep.

Other notable top 50 finishes in Stars donkfests (Hope to get back here more! BR could use it.):
MAY 11, 2009... 47 / 5643
MAY 16, 2009... 19 / 4077
JUL 19,2009.... 21 / 8244
SEP 1, 2009.... 20 / 5073
FEB 5, 2010.... 40 / 6504

It's stating to look (haha starting) like an extreme longshot for that top 5 finish IllPhilllll!

But, as you see if you want real money you need to be in the top 5--be willing to play a long time and play to win:

Tournament Date & Time: 27 May 2010 17:00
Prizepool: $14,820
Buy-in: $2.75
Game Running 10 hour 47 minutes
Entries 5928
Texas Holdem NL

1. $2,301
2. $1,704
3. $1,200
4. $832
5. $622

Very nice-was hoping for FT for you. 10 hours? So that would be 3am for me? Sorry I had to bail, but it was getting late.

Keep trying tb, you WILL make top 5 eventually.

I guess you just have to be in the chat room and join a tournament that someone says they are interested in and you'll end up at a final table.

It always takes some luck to go deep in MTTs. I can't be too upset that my first hand at the final table was my last when my K K lost to J J. We both were all-in preflop, and the board came as follows:

4 8 10 -- 7 -- 9

The reason I can't complain is that a few hands before the final table my K J suited cracked A A.

Thanks rllngn and TF (illll was sleeping) for telling me (reminding me) to stay patient when I took a big hit on a hand that if I had won I'd have been on cruise control to the FT. Instead, I had to be very patient at times when my stack dropped to 3 BB.

A cash in another forum freeroll, 2nd in our freeroll, and this final table finished off a good night of MTT play for me.
