Live poker tournaments and online are two different animals (Apples and Oranges?).

I like live tournaments where you actually interact with PEOPLE, You can pick up tells etc. But I find live poker S L O W and Frustrating.

Online you can play several tables at once, there is a clock on the play at all times and is enforced automatically. I play dozens of freeroll tournaments online every day.

This weekend I'm looking forward to playing live tournaments. I will drive 300 mi. and get to play two tournaments in two days. At least the room is free (food also usually).

I love playing live more than online, just because its easier to read a player and get better interaction with people up close than sitting behind a screen

live poker games are my favorite . more fun and relaxed with all my friends around . one thing i have found out is no matter live or online there are still the unbelievable bad beats . the one thing i like about online poker is whenever the mood strikes me i can play some cards and dont have to round the guys and gals up to play . best of all theres no mess to clean up afterwards .

The first post in interesting, to say that online poker is rigged and live is not. I dont think either is but here is a good example of live beats to Online beat

LIVE QAs

FLOP Q68 K Q

SO MY BETS IS ALL IN - VILLIAN TURNS OVER Q6

ONLINE SAME HAND QAs

FLOP Q68 K Q

SO MY BETS ARE ALL IN - VILLIAN TURNS OVER KK

Neither was riggged but neither helped my bankroll

I haven't ever played in a casino but I would imagine it's alot better then online
I personally don't like plYing online because it is so easy to cheat hackers that don't even like poker can easily just make an account and cheat you out of your money
There has already been issues with this.
So I don't really feel safe online
In a live game you can actually see you players and dealer and you can watching for anything fishy
Online isn't so easy to keep an eye on

I use to play live with a group of friends on saturday nites; was fund. But since e1 has relocated we cant do that anymore.

But since online poker has become available and there are so many sights available to play at, I LIKE IT. When you play at a sight often enough you begin to get to know some of the players well at least those who let ya get to know em.

Best of luck on the felt guys.

For the most part I like live poker better than online...
I have to say that after playing tournament poker with so few player "indicators" online, sitting across from a "twitching, humming, eye rolling, sweating, knee bouncing" live player is quite enjoyable.

This thread brings up some interesting food for thought, I myself prefer live poker over online but yet Im more rolled for online poker than live since live can be a costly evening.

Saw a lot of talk of seed numbers in RNG and while I dont think online poker is rigged, I am somewhat uncomfy knowing that the hand is not set in stone once betting starts and regardless of how secure they claim the RNG's are. I dont understand why online poker just doesnt set all the cards in stone once whole cards are delt. If they did just that tiny change then I would have no problems. But when people say that if I take 1 sec or 10 sec to bet that the cards will be different brings up too many problems to even consider the two games the same. This is why I dont really ever roll myself too big for online but I know there are many players that know how to PLAY THE PLAYERS and overcome this obstacle. I just wish the cards werent spinning non stop (HEY IF A SITE DOESNT HAVE SPINNING CARDS AFTER POCKETS ARE DELT, PLEASE LET ME KNOW)

The social aspect I will say is great both online and live. Since I dont go to my local casino with my buddies, the social aspect can be just as fun online as it is live. Its just the luck of the people you end of playing with and if they want to be chatty (and I mean fun chatty not YOU STUPID FK DONK type chatty) Some of the games I play on this site, if I get the right people at my table I have a blast and its the same way live, some people are HARDCORE GAMBLIN and some folks make the game fun but some make the whole table tense if they are getting all pissed off'd

Im at a point in my game where Im comfortable something I wasnt just a few months ago. And either my game is going to get a whole lot better but that might take weeks months or years. I dont go into anything anymore thinking Im gonna dominate, but I do go in just wanting to think I played a smart game. Id like to think people I play with, while maybe not scarred to bet against me, will at least respect what I put up on the table Live or Online. My game stil has a long way to go and I realize live or online that this being my main source of income, probably wont be happening for a long time. But Im starting to get deeper in torunies with healtheir stacks so..

So both online and Live are both good and many pros and cons can be said about both

Im not sure ive only played a few live mtt
and one million online ive only played the game for 12 months but i know you are more likely to be shafted using real cards than at a good online site
:vomit: :D
u know what i mean of course but truth be told sitting at a felted table floping quads is a rush a heart pounder u have to contain your emotions unlike infront of a computer there are so many pros and cons to live vs online but it is the same game at the end of the day !

Peace
