I had a home "Hold-em" game I played in for most of the winter last year... of course, as the weather got warmer the players stated to "opt out" more and more... Can't blame them...
Just found another game and played this last weekend. Good Times... Great group of folks, and after my initial worry about the game, Pot Limit H/L Omaha, I think I got into the swing of things nicely.
Had not played any live Omaha before this. I found the game more complicated than Hold-em for a couple reasons. Starting out with two extra cards and also having to keep in mind the possibility of a "Low" hand kept me busy. Played a bit slower than the rest of the group but that was ok.
After 7 hours of play I we finally called it a night. Didn't do to bad... Didn't come out on top but walked away with the majority of my money still in my pocket.
A nice night.
I think I'll read up on the game, be a bit more prepared try and make this a regular gig.

good times! seeing that you are playing with amateurs will surely increase your percentage of luck. Enjoy playing and go get them. :happy3:

Some friends and I get together every other Friday night and play. Usually $10 Sit N Go. Top 3 pay, usually 8 or 9 players.

3rd gets their $10 back
2nd gets $30
1st gets $50

Usually able to play 3-5 games a night. Not high stakes, but we have a lot of fun.
